Dr. Munsa Rana received her Honor’s Bachelor of Science with a minor in Public Health at the University of Waterloo in 2016, after which she attended Inter-American School of Puerto Rico for her Doctorate of Optometry. Puerto Rico gave her exposure to extensive pathology and venues within the realm of optometry allowing her to be knowledgeable in multiple sectors in the field of Optometry.
During her studies and residency at Collazo Ophthalmology and Optometry associates in Philadelphia, PA, she excelled and trained extensively in ocular disease, glaucoma, pre and post-op, low vision, sports vision, contact lens, vision therapy and contact lenses, allowing her to provide the best care to her patients. Upon graduation, Dr. Rana earned the Eschenbach Low vision Student Award and the Canadian Association of Optometry Students Liaison award.
Presently, Dr. Rana holds the title of Vice President of Eastern Services with the charity Canadian Eyesight Global which entails helping immigrant communities and low income communities with free eye care and patient education across Rural India and the Greater Toronto Area. She was also a recipient of the Paul Harris Fellowship Award from Rotary International in 2019. Dr. Rana is an active member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists and the Canadian Association of Optometrists.
Dr. Rana’s passion lies in patient education, preventative care, ocular disease, patient management, low vision, vision therapy, glaucoma and beyond. Dr. Rana offers full comprehensive exams fluently in English, Spanish, Punjabi, Hindi and Urdu.
In her free time, Dr. Rana enjoys outdoor sports, time with family and friends, cooking and travelling.
Dr. Kosha Trivedi started her journey into Optometry by earning a Honor’s Bachelor of Sciences Degree from University of Toronto. She obtained a double major with her Bachelors in Health Science and Environmental Science. Upon completion of her HBSc, Dr. Trivedi attended the Inter-American School of Puerto Rico, where she earned her Doctorate of Optometry. Her time in Puerto Rico was spent learning about various pathology and ocular conditions. She gained her academic training and practiced the application of her knowledge in various clinics and hospitals within Puerto Rico and Edmonton, Canada.
Her extensive clinical training in ocular conditions such as prosthetic eyes, dry eye management, glaucoma, foreign body removal, pre and post-op care, contact lens, myopia control, vision therapy etc., enables her to care for patients with various needs.
Dr. Trivedi enjoys working with a diverse group of patients of all ages. Her vision is to help improve and promote ocular health. She dedicates herself to her profession and takes keen interest in helping her patients. Apart from her regular working days, Dr. Trivedi volunteers her time to care for less fortune by providing free vision screening with our Seva Sunday Program. She is an active member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists and the Canadian Association of Optometrists.
Dr. Trivedi is passionate about her work and takes pride in educating patients and promoting preventive eye care. As a native speaker, Dr. Trivedi is able to communicate with her patients in English, Hindi, Gujarati, Urdu and Spanish.
In her free time, Dr. Trivedi enjoys travelling, fitness activities, and spending time with her friends and family.
Dr. Chikodi Uzuana graduated from the University of Waterloo’s Doctor of Optometry program on the Dean’s Honours List, following her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Benin in Nigeria. She holds licensure to practice optometry in both Nigeria and Canada. During her externships, she gained extensive experience and completed ocular disease rotations in the Greater Toronto Area, collaborating with ophthalmologists and optometrists to deliver comprehensive care and improve patient outcomes. She enjoys practicing all areas of optometry but particularly has a passion for ocular pathology and detecting diseases in the early stages as well as encouraging disease prevention. She also has a keen interest in dry eye management. Outside of her professional work, Dr. Uzuana is actively involved in her community, volunteering with organizations like Fighting Blindness Canada and in her free time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending quality time with her family.
Dr. Sajeel Khan graduated and received his Honours Bachelor of Science at the University of Waterloo in 2019, after which he graduated from Pennsylvania College of Optometry with his Doctor of Optometry degree.
Following graduation, Dr. Khan had the opportunity to work at an Ophthalmology practice in Albany, New York where he practiced for two years with an emphasis in treatment and management of ocular disease such as glaucoma, diabetes, macular degeneration and cataracts and surgery.
Before pursuing his education away from home, Dr. Khan had been raised in Hamilton, where his family has lived for over 20 years. Having completed his studies and having gained valuable experience, he now wishes to practice close to home. In his free time Dr. Khan enjoys playing and watching soccer and spending time with his family.
